Brother PES becomes Tajima DST here. Rose Crest keeps its five colors on screen so you can stand at the machine with the order. The DST itself will not store that RGB. Jumps and trims are rewritten into DST control codes.
DST and EXP store color stops only, not RGB

Brand matching is a reading list. It is not written into the free machine file. DST files have no RGB to match.
The color-stop list beside the hoop shows every stop, its stitch count, Brother and Janome codes, and the ΔE for this brand.
Short stitches are under 0.4 mm. Long jumps are over 6.0 mm when the next command is not a trim. Paid cleanup uses 0.45 mm.

What survives
Rose Crest is 88.0 by 84.0 mm and 6,420 stitches, with 18 jumps and 6 trims and five color stops. The first stop is still 2,100 stitches. A DST download should read back at 88.0 by 84.0 mm. The header contains LA:, which is the DST label, not a PES signature.
PES jump and trim commands become the control codes a Tajima-style machine expects. DST does not have a separate trim opcode the way PES does, so a trim may travel as a jump record. The on-screen trim count still comes from the design you loaded.
Botanical Wreath is 124.0 by 122.0 mm, 9,150 stitches, 22 jumps, and 8 trims. Varsity Monogram A is 96.0 by 96.0 mm and 4,810 stitches. Use those when you want a busier jump map than Rose Crest. The counts are on the strip before you export.
Color order stays on screen because the DST will not keep it. Print the free summary if you need a paper list at the machine. It carries a stitchfileconverter.com footer. A watermark-free 1:1 operator sheet is only in the paid thread pack.
What is lost
DST and EXP store color stops only, not RGB. The five Rose Crest colors, including Foxy Red at 180, 34, 50, remain in the browser so you can read them. They are not bytes in the DST. A later DST-to-PES conversion cannot get them back from that DST.
If the commercial machine stops for color, the operator needs your list: 2,100 of the first color, then 1,600, 1,200, 900, and 620. The file will stop. It will not name the spool. Keep the summary next to the hoop.
Do not tell a buyer the DST “includes Madeira #1838.” The number can be on your sheet. It is not in the DST. The paid pack can write brand numbers into a JEF color table and onto a 1:1 sheet. The DST still has no RGB field.
A file may be up to 10 MB and 250,000 stitches. A batch of 50 files, 25 MB combined, is the paid cleanup, not this free download. One PES in, one DST out, at the size you see on the hoop.
Hoop still matters
A 4×4 field is 100 by 100 mm. Rose Crest fits it. Botanical Wreath at 124 mm does not. The status is Exceeds or Fits before the DST is written, using the same sewing fields as the other pages.
Tajima’s 150 mm round hoop uses a 142 mm safe circle. A design fits when its diagonal is within 142 mm. That check is on the hoop chart and in the hoop menu. It is not a 100 by 100 mm square with a round name.
Scale from 80% to 120% keeps the stitch count and is downloadable as a machine file. Density changes the count on screen and hides the free machine button. The 24 resized files, if you need them, are the seller bundle.
Center on export puts the middle of the design within 0.5 mm of the origin. Read the DST back. Size and stitch count should agree with the hoop. Then sew a scrap before the garment. Stabilizer and needle size are still your choice.
Sequence
Rose Crest, Botanical Wreath, or Varsity Monogram A. The color stops stay visible because the DST will drop them.
Rose Crest shows 18 jumps and 6 trims next to 6,420 stitches. Those counts are the design, not a guess.
Five stops, starting at 2,100 stitches. Write them down or save the summary PDF before you close the page.
The file should contain LA: and read back at the same size within 0.5 mm. RGB is not in that file.
Where it fits
The Tajima needs DST. You still need the color list in your hand. The file will not carry Foxy Red. See what happens if you convert back.
Botanical Wreath has 22 jumps and 8 trims. Check the long-jump flag before a long sew-out on a commercial machine. Scale it if the field is smaller.
Tell buyers the DST has stops, not thread colors. Point them at the color sheet if they ask why the preview looked red. Open the DST color sheet.
The embroidery hoop size checker lists all 30 sewing fields in millimetres and inches. The DST thread color sheet shows why a Tajima stop has no RGB to recover.
Questions
The stitch path, jumps, and trims can be translated. The RGB colors cannot. Keep the on-screen color order next to the machine.
Yes. PES jump and trim commands become the DST control codes a Tajima-style machine expects. The summary still shows the jump count and the trim count.
The free summary PDF lists the color stops and carries a stitchfileconverter.com footer. The watermark-free 1:1 operator sheet is in the paid thread pack.
One file can be up to 10 MB and 250,000 stitches. A batch of up to 50 files is the paid cleanup pack, with a 25 MB total.
